Help Zara Fight Animal Suffering

Hi, my name is Zara and I’m fundraising for the Merwin Memorial Free Clinic for Animals, in the Allston Neighborhood of Boston, MA. I love animals and art, so I decided to combine the two for my tikkun olam project. Those who donate $60 or more are welcome to contact me to receive a custom portrait of a beloved pet (on high quality paper, and matted for framing). These make great gifts/keepsakes!

The Merwin Clinic was founded on the idea that all pets should be granted medical care no matter the financial status of their owner. The Merwin Clinic provides free or low cost veterinary care to walk-in patrons. In providing your support, you’ll be preserving and sharing a treasure in our midst, and continuing a tradition of neighborly caring that began more than 85 years ago.

 The reason I chose to fundraise for the Merwin Clinic was because I have seen how many people rely on it. There are so many pets who get their medical care from this clinic, so much so that almost everyday you pass by, you will see a long line of people waiting outside for their turn. I also chose this clinic because of the wonderful staff. There are very few people working each day but they handle everything so well, and they treat everyone kindly no matter how bad their day was.
