Help Women's Building Artist Yvonne Hold onto Life

Hello Dear Friends,

I am sending you this email through my friend Ali Vogt. I have a sensitivity to electromagnetic field (EMF) and I am unable to use a computer or cell phone.

You may know that I have an extensive history in service to the community. I received a master’s degree in public health while working at the Haight Asbury Free Clinic as the HIV Outreach Coordinator using street-based intervention methods for high risk populations. As a health educator, I aspire to help baby boomers learn about the medicinal benefits of CBD while avoiding the psychoactive properties of THC. I am also an artist. I have been employed as an advertising artist, art instructor, and muralist. Most notably, I am one of seven who designed and painted the SF Women’s Building Mural. More recently, I’ve taught art to elders and those newly released from prison.

I am humbled and a little embarrassed to write this. I apologize if it is the first you have heard, that six years ago I received a diagnosis of cancer. It has been most difficult sharing this information and initiating this campaign!

I have received some treatment from UCSF, but have mostly addressed the cancer using alternative methods. Western doctors have only extreme measures to offer, so I’ve been working on my own with the help of the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, Women’s Cancer Resource Center and an Ayurvedic oncologist at UCSF. I have added acupuncture, homeopathy, CBD oil, supplements, jin jiu jitsu, anti-cancer and immune building foods, harvesting my own aloe vera, meditation, exercise, etc. My intention is to be as aggressive with my treatment, as a western medicine practitioner would have been using chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.

Of late, my energy has been unreliable, challenging my ability to do art or maintain any full time commitment. If I am unable to work, I can’t afford the treatments needed to sustain my life and I may face the possibility of homelessness as well. As you can image, all this is extremely stressful. Also, because of EMF, I am at the mercy of the wireless products of my neighbors. If the internet goes to 5G, I may have to move to a more rural environment. Maybe I’ll learn to raise alpacas! I have exhausted my savings fighting cancer and most alternative methods aren’t covered by insurance. I am in need of financial assistance.

This is why I am emailing you today. I need to work with a naturopath, start immunotherapy, and continue the homeopathy, acupuncture, and other modalities that help keep me on my feet. It is my desire to heal and enjoy a good quality of life, and move forward with my job search. With your help and support I believe I can do just that!

I want to extend a big fat thank you for your compassionate attention to this matter and any generous gift you can offer. Please share this post as you are able. I realize that many of you are as financially challenged as I am. If you have any affiliations: clubs, groups, churches, collectives or know someone who may be able to help, please forward this message to them as well.

With much love, gratitude and deep appreciation,

Sincerely,

Yvonne Littleton, MPH
