Help with Ricky’s medical costs in Thailand

I’m raising funds on behalf of the family of Ricky Eury, who many of you will agree is one of the kindest, most generous and loyal friends we know.

On the afternoon of the 15th of March 2025, in Phuket, Thailand, Ricky was crossing the road on foot when a motorcycle driver hit him head on. The impact sent Ricky flying, with a brutal landing on the tarmac that has left him in Intensive Care with multiple skull and rib fractures, a shattered nose, and bleeding on the brain. Ricky’s injuries were potentially life threatening but he is a fighter and has pulled through the first 36 hours which are crucial with severe head injuries.

The hospital are positive about his recovery but it is likely to be a long and difficult road, as well as an expensive one. Due to Ricky’s incapacity, we’re currently unable to confirm his insurance status, and out of pocket costs are likely to run into the tens of thousands of pounds.

On behalf of Ricky, and his friends and family I’m asking you to donate what you can to cover these medical costs. The aim is to relieve some of the financial pressure so that Ricky can put his full focus on getting fighting fit again. Ricky’s parents, George and Annette, along with his girlfriend Hannah and brother Joey, have flown out to Phuket to be with Ricky, and James who was with him at the time of the accident and got him to hospital in the nick of time, is also here with us.
