Help With Little Brother's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi there, for nearly all of my life I've been granted with one of the highest honors one could have, and that's having the title of being an older brother. We've experienced all of life's good, bad, and ugly moments together and to this day I consider him my closest friend and one of the best people I've come to know and love. We've shared everything there is to share with a sibling, from experiences, to items, to laughs, and even what we both have decided to do with our lives, and that is becoming electricians.
This week on 7/29/24, around 430pm my family and I got the worst call we've ever personally received thus far in life, Nick had a bad accident that nearly took his life at work. He was working on top of a switch gear 8 feet high, and ended up getting shocked on a 277V circuit and got hung up and eventually had to force himself to fall in order to break free from being electrocuted. Someone luckily threw a ladder at him in hopes to break the fall a bit but he still ended up with a broken back at the end of it. He was then rushed to the er where he was examined extensively and put through numerous amounts of tests and evaluations. He's now home with his wife Taylor who has been a rock through all of this for Nick and my whole family.
To say my brother got lucky that day is an understatement. This could have most certainly been much much worse, but that's not to say he still has a long road to recovery. Nick and Taylor both live together and have bills coming in everyday and this threw a monkey wrench in all of that for them. They are both providers for their families, friends, communities, and country. They sacrifice their time and well being day in and day out to make sure this is constantly happening. So that being said, any form of support, love, or contribution will go a long way into helping them getting back on their feet. Thank you to all for taking the time out of your day to reading this, and contributing. Stay safe out there, Luke P.
