Waylon, my 7-year-old corgi, has always been a joyful and loving companion. Since June, he’s been struggling with a limp in his front left leg. We started with our primary vet, making five visits in hopes of finding answers, but nothing was clear. After being referred to a second vet, we tried sedated steroid injections in his elbow, thinking that might be the cause. Unfortunately, even after multiple X-rays and four weeks of strict crate rest, Waylon’s pain didn’t improve.
Determined to help him, we drove several hours to see an orthopedic specialist. The specialist confirmed that Waylon’s elbow is the main issue, and now his shoulder is also bothering him, likely because of the ongoing elbow problem. The next step is a CT scan and ultrasound (total of 4.1k estiamte) to finally get a clear diagnosis and plan for his recovery. Sadly, our funds are running out, and we simply don’t have the money to move forward with these crucial tests.
Waylon means the world to me, and seeing him in pain is heartbreaking. Any support you can give will go directly toward his CT scan and ultrasound, giving him the best chance at healing and getting back to his happy, active self. Thank you so much for reading Waylon’s story and for any help you can offer. Your kindness means everything to us.
