Help Violy Relocate for Life-Saving Kidney Treatment

Hi everyone,

My name is Jocelyn, and I am asking for help for my beautiful mum, Violy, who is facing Stage 5 Kidney Disease. At 61 years old and on the pension, she now has no choice but to relocate interstate to Brisbane for urgent dialysis treatment—a move that will literally save her life. But this move will not only save her life—it will also bring her closer to her only grandchild and daughter in Brisbane.

A Life-Changing Move for Survival:

Violy has lived in Gove, NT since moving to Australia in 1993. She has called this town home for over 30 years, forming deep friendships and a close-knit support system. Since losing her husband in 2007, she has lived in the same flat or 17 years, finding strength in the kindness of her community. But now, her health has deteriorated, and doctors have advised that she must leave everything behind to access the dialysis treatment that will keep her alive. This sudden, life-altering move means saying goodbye to lifelong friends and starting over in a new city, without familiar faces or a place to call home. As of now, Violy has no permanent place to stay in Brisbane, and I (Jocelyn) am doing my best to find her emergency housing while we search for something more stable.
