On October 6th, 2017 our dearest angel Valya is in Heaven. We are all at a loss of words, but will update this page when we have more information. Stay tuned - keep the Bortolussi family in your prayers during this difficult time.

The Bortolussi family urgently needs your support to help fight their daughter's cancer.

Valya, at the young age of 22, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive sarcoma type of cancer, inflammatory miofibroblastic tumor. It happens in young healthy adults.

The first time she went into the hospital with symptoms was in December of 2016 and has been in and out of the hospital 4 or 5 times since. She's currently at Methodist hospital now and is undergoing continued radiation treatment and chemotherapy. She has already had brain surgery and one lung removed because of this horrible and quickly spreading cancer. Her condition has worsened due to a medical negligence and mistakes they have made at a previous clinic.

As you can imagine, many expenses have incurred because of this as well as items not covered by insurance.

Valya has the rest of her life in front of her.
