Help Valeriya Isakova and family get settled

Hello all, now that Valeriya, her mom Oksana, and brother Artur (age 11) have made it safely out of Ukraine we need to start thinking about some of the resources and help they will need. It’s beyond what I can imagine right now. And there is no long term planning for now. We need help, I do know that. I’m calling on our community to come together. Your prayers and well wishes have truly helped give them the strength to keep going. We are so proud of her. She has done all the hard work and we need to keep the promise we made to her to find ways to get them here and take care of them.
Many have asked for a gofundme, so here it is. Please share. This will be used for anything they will need to get here and get settled. We really don’t know what that means right now.
For those of you new to their story, Valeriya was our exchange student. She came at age 15 after having to resettle in Ukraine at the age of 14 because they lost their home in Luhansk in the War on Donbas. Her mom gave her the greatest gift sending her here to the states to seek peace. Here in Tecumseh, MI, Valeriya made strong bonds with our family, many friends and teachers. She had an amazing year and graduated Tecumseh High School in 2016. We knew we would see her again and would give anything for the circumstances to be different.
Her TPS teachers have already come together to find ways to help and we are so grateful. She is so touched. She is just starting to realize that her gift of connecting with people left such an impression on all that knew her here.
They had to leave their father and grandfather in Kyiv as men ages 18-60 were not able to leave and her grandfather was not willing to leave. Pray for their safety and ability to have resources to stay well. Stores are already bare. Attacks on the city are around the clock.
