Hello Caring Hearts,
Our daughter is getting married in 6 months in the beautiful country of Jamaica. I would love nothing more than having the fatherly honor of walking my little girl down the aisle. She's marrying a man that has given her the deepest kind of love, respect, and friendship over the last 7 years. My wife and I need and would appreciate your help to make this happen.
From the start of my daughter's relationship leading up to her engagement, much hardship has occurred in our family.
In 2008, my wife unexpectedly lost her vision and could no longer work full time. We finally got back on our feet and she was able to land a position with a fundraising company working from home. She used data base software and called potential financial contributors for people who struggle with MS, diabetes, cancer, and other life threatening diseases. With her hard work and determination and senior-level position at work, we were blessed to buy our very first home! We were so happy and so thankful. Sadly, only 6 months following our celebration of homeownership, I had to resign from my job of more than 30 years. My Doctors determined that due to my physical health I could no longer work. During that adjustment of leaving my job, my wife was no longer able to provide financial support. She experienced a failing computer system and we did not have the financial means for a replacement. My wife has now taken on a proud position at a non-profit, Blind Center of Akron, Ohio as the head Event Coordinator. She helps to organize trips and community outings
I take pride by providing transportation for these individuals at the center so that they can maintain an active lifestyle in society and live their lives to the fullest. These people are true inspirations!
We are making ends meet (barely) but are blessed to wake up everyday together and breathe the free air. We're grateful to have this platform to share our story and ask giving individuals that are able to help offer support and make our dream come true. It would be a Godsend for us to share the most important day of our little girls life, together as a family. Your love and support means everything to us.
Thank you, kindly.
