Hey Everyone,
My wife Stormie and I own and operate a 50 acre certified organic vegetable farm in Copake, NY.
This morning we had some outrageous winds (up to 70 mph) and it completely lifted one of our greenhouses out of the ground and left it totally unusable. It’s going to take us days to cut it all up and dispose of it. Not to mention the week it took us to build it and the week it will take us to build it again.
This will leave us with a greenhouse down before we can start this seasons planting in march- and a ton of extra labor that would have been used to toward other farm projects to get ready for the 2024 season.
With your help we can purchase parts for a new greenhouse and get it put up before the first planting on march 15.
Our hopes are to salvage some pieces of this greenhouse and only have to buy a portion of a new greenhouse. But since this morning, it has fully come out of the ground and blew around the farm for a bit- bending most of the metal.
We are beyond grateful for any donations that will help us to get this greenhouse back up.
