Help Us Recover After Health & Housing Crisis

My name is James, and I’m raising funds to help my girlfriend Kat, our dog Noiri, our cat Hidey, and myself get through an incredibly difficult time. Last year, I started having serious health issues and was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. My respiratory problems have made it hard to work consistently, so I’ve been driving for Uber whenever I’m able. In March 2025, we lost our home and have been living in a motel ever since, doing our best to keep a roof over our heads for ourselves and our pets.

On Memorial Day this year, our car was flooded and we’ve been without transportation for over a month. Our insurance company isn’t covering the repair costs, leaving us stranded and unable to work or get basic necessities easily. Our friends and family have already helped out, but they can only do so much, so it’s mostly just the two of us supporting each other and our pets. The stress and uncertainty have been overwhelming, but we’re doing everything we can to stay hopeful and keep going.
