Shiresmill Fundraising Walk

We're looking to buy 2 new ponies to join the team at Shiresmill - can you help us raise some much needed funding for one of them?
Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre (SCIO) is a registered charity (SC02872) and a member group of Riding for the Disabled Association Incorporating Carriage Driving. Our aim is to provide therapy riding and related activities to children and adults of all ages with physical disabilities, medical conditions, learning difficulties and youngsters on the autistic spectrum. We have a custom-built centre with indoor and outdoor arena, sensory park, paddocks and grazing. The group is run entirely by volunteers who do maintenance and fundraising as well as looking after the ponies and riders.
The group normally runs with 8 ponies of varying sizes and abilities – but we currently just have 6 and we’d really like to buy a new one to join the team.
We would be ever so grateful for any donations you can spare - either directly, or by gathering sponsorship for completing a walk/horse ride/cycle/run - there's lovely 3.37km marked woodland walk from the car park at the centre, or you can pick your own route/challenge - whatever mode and distance! We were thinking it would be lovely for folks to get outdoors, and generate some sponsorship money for Shiresmill at the same time! You'd be doing two fantastic things - having fun in the lovely fresh air and at the same time helping us to save up for another lovely pony for the centre. It's a win-win!
You can do your challenge on any day/time that suits you - complete it by the end of Novemberand send us a photo of something that made you feel happy as you completed it. There will be a small prize for the highest sponsorship and best photograph!
If you'd like to be a member of the fundraising team then please let us know and we can add you in - which means you can get your own sponsors (remember there's a wee prize for the person with the highest sponsors) - we'd love you to join us! Or if you'd prefer to just donate, that would also be hugely appreciated!
