Help us move and have a Merry Christmas

Donation protected
Hey there, my name is Clinton Owen and I'm here because despite all my best efforts, I need help with helping make sure that my family not only has a good Christmas but also has a decent roof over their heads to have said Christmas under.

So here's the situation, my wife Kimberly and I have two kids, Isobel who is 6 (going on 16) and Rory who is 5.  Rory was born with a rare syndrome called CFC Syndrome which in his short life has caused a whole raft health and developmental issues, some of which aren't as major as they used to be and some of which are still going strong.

A few weeks ago we were told by our real estate agent that our landlords want to reclaim their house for extensive renovations and that as a result we have until our lease ends on the 20th of February to find somewhere else to live.

Suffice to say to be told that we had 3 months to find a place 5 weeks before Christmas, when it took us almost a year and a half to find our current place (mostly because nobody else wanted it) did not exactly leave us feeling in any way fantastic.

This prospect is made all the harder by the fact that we are very much restricted in the sort of rentals we can apply for.

- We need a place that has ducted due to Rory not being able to regulate his body temperature well and in summer being especially susceptible to becoming dehydrated easily and or vomiting.
- We're limited to rentals in Wodonga as we cannot go over the border to Albury without losing all the services that Rory's linked into, not to mention that we'd have to pull Izzy out of a school that's really good for her and we've just enrolled Rory in Belvoir Special School.
- Because we cannot afford to be a two vehicle household we cannot look too far outside of Wodonga because I need to be within relative walking distance to my work.
- We also need a rental that Rory can conceivably get around in a walking frame or wheelchair, or at the very least have the freedom of movement be able to butt scoot where he want.

While some of these things are ultimately more important than others, we are firm in the idea that just because we have to move, it doesn't mean we have to move somewhere that we don't like and that isn't suitableffor our needs.

Now we should have our bond sorted out, and our first week's rent as well, but trying to put away any money to go towards the second week's rent and moving expenses has been next to impossible.

So here I am, asking for your help to help us move, hopefully before Christmas if we can possibly swing it (rental markets, real estate's and landlords willing.

This money will help us with our second week of rent and to cover the cost of hiring movers.

Thank you.
