Help us launch Higher Ground non profit

So we are about to launch a non profit that has been in the works for almost a year now! The idea came from my own past trials and tribulations through my adolescence and the subsequent path I found myself on as an adult.

 

It took over 30 years but I finally found myself in a place where I found out how to love myself, which led to an exponentially greater ability to love others and in turn lead a much more positive and rewarding life.

 

This sort of revelation came through a head-first dive into wellness. First it was working out, and then it was yoga. Through the more meditative and spiritual side of yoga I learned what it means to love yourself. It is immensely powerful.

 

And then I found climbing. The support, sense of community, and uplifting energy that I found in participating in this sport has created invaluable positive change in my life. In climbing, everyone is on the same team. It redefines your limits and teaches you to believe in yourself.

 

I frequently think about how different my life would have been had I found this passion at a younger age. This is the reason I want to start Higher Ground Climbing and Wellness. There is a significant number of at-risk youth in Las Vegas that would greatly benefit from the sense of community and uplifting energy that comes from a climbing gym, and even more so from climbing outdoors. Most of these youth either do not have access to this sport, or are just not aware of the benefits it can provide. We will be here to help with that.

 

Please help us reach our start up goal of $5000 by the end of the month! (Sept 30th). Your contribution will enable us to secure our website, business licensing, marketing materials, incorporation fees, and supporting our goal of getting a dozen kids outside on some rock.
