Help Us Honor David James Carlsen's Memory

Yesterday, June 19, 2025, we lost a part of our family. My baby brother, my parents' baby boy, Lylah's daddy, David James Carlsen. He was always there for us at the drop of a dime, and we can't believe he is gone. He was working to get himself better so he could get custody of Lylah back. I am so proud of how much he was working to do that.

Right now, we are all struggling, and my poor Lylah is heartbroken just like the rest of us. David had just spent the whole day with Lylah, and less than an hour later, God took him from us. He died instantly upon impact, so he was not in pain. While that does give us some relief, we just wish he was still here. My parents are struggling, I'm struggling, Lylah is struggling; we are all broken from this unexpected loss.

David's best friend and his reason for breathing was Lylah. He loved her so deeply, and she loved him. They loved to ride quads and dirt bikes, and she loved being able to cuddle whenever she wanted. She was his pride and joy, and I know he's in heaven watching down on her. We will do everything to keep his memory alive.

Funerals and memorials cost quite a bit, and any assistance would help my parents in this time. Whatever is leftover will go directly to Lylah's savings.
