It’s hard to find the words to describe the pain of losing my grandmother, Nora Carlos. She wasn’t just my grandma — she was a Sister, Aunt, significant other, Great Grandmother, the heart of our family, the keeper of our stories, the source of endless love and comfort and most of all a Mother. Her hugs could heal, her laughter could light up the darkest days, and her faith carried us through every storm. Life feels emptier without her warmth, but her love still surrounds us in every memory, every lesson, every moment she touched with grace, and every dished she cooked. We are raising funds to give her a proper burial, so we can honor her the way she deserved — with love, respect, and remembrance.
