Help us get where we need to be!

We moved to Alaska almost two years ago so my wife could start her career in the museum industry. We left behind friends, family, a better quality of life (and an affordable one I might add). While we knew it would be a daunting experience we didn't realize just how terrible it would be for each other in varying ways from emotional, to mental health and so forth. We also didn't fully grasp that it would cost nearly triple what it did in Ohio to feed two adults and two pet cats. 

A couple of weeks ago my wife was offered a job at a museum in Oregon and we decided to jump at the opportunity because our quality of life would increase dramatically from the lower cost of living alone. It's a state where her mom still lives, and also a state we have some friends in, and will generally just help us balance our lives back out.

Currently, we're battling our landlords who are raking up over the coals for terminating our lease a month early, while we're also trying to put down deposits and secure a place for us and our pets to move into. We are literally selling everything we own except our bed to balance this out, and still fear that we're falling well-short of what we need. 

I realize how I tend to ask for help a lot but we literally cannot take living here any longer. Imagine an unhealthy relationship and make that an entire state. That has been our experience living here in Alaska. We're trapped inside of an overpriced amusement park and we need to get out of here and land on our feet. Help us land on our feet.
