Taking care of people was what my grandma did everyday of my life until she was physically unable to do so safely. From working in nursing homes, doing personal home care for folks, working meals on wheels, even working the Lincoln college cafeteria feeding the young minds going out into the world. She never said no to anybody who asked for help and was to proud to really ask for help for herself.

That being said, due to a lack of an adequate signature from my grandma (who wasn't lucid enough to make those choices, but hadn't legally made anyone her POA) her life insurance was cancelled in the middle of January.

That means we do not have the money to have her cremated and our immediate family is in a very serious bind. We're just simply not in a place financially to come up with the amount quick enough to make it right with the funeral home. If you had the pleasure of knowing my grandma then I hope you agree that she absolutely deserves a proper send off from this world.

She was a beacon in our family. Our light, our love, our heart, our souls. After 81 years of giving to everyone, Grandma deserves this final gift from all the people she loved.Please help me bring the Queen of our hearts home to stay. Blessings for you and yours
