Update
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Thanks to your kindness and generosity we were able to search for, and ultimately bring home, my son Drexyll Tolstoy. I can truly never thank you enough.
There is another group that I can never thank enough. Hope Alive 845 is a nonprofit based in New York. They spent hundreds of hours searching, and working on Drexylls case. Today I donated the rest of the money left in the helpusfindDrexyll fund to Hope Alive 845. I hope that is understandable and acceptable to everyone. Thank you again for your help and kindness, and for giving us strength in the worst time of my life.

Edit, March 5 update
Hi, everyone, and thanks for all of your help. Our February search trip didnt lead to us finding Drexyll, but we did turn up information that the NYPD hadn't found. Seven of us, including 3 of Drexylls childhood buddies, and one of my fellow veterans, packed into a rental mini van and drove straight through to NYC. We were joined by a close friend who is from metro Detroit but now lives in Brooklyn. Our team of 8, split into 3 groups, was able to cover so much ground! We were able to canvass hundreds of blocks, and speak with hundreds of people. We learn a little more every time we go, and we thank you all for your support. We are not giving up on the NYPD, but we have almost no confidence in their Missing Persons detectives, based on their performance over the past 5+ months. We wont stop searching for Drexyll. We have been scouting Private Investigators, and we are looking for recommendations in that department- and for any "finders" or lawyers who specialize in this area. I will update everyone again once we know anything new! Thank you.

*edit to add January update*
Hello and Happy New Year, everyone. The NYPD still has no leads on Drexylls case. We have the dates for our search trip to NYC, and we hope you will join us and help us find Drexyll. We will leave Metro Detroit on Thursday, Feb 16 and leave NYC early Sunday Feb 19th. This will give us Friday and Saturday to search, put up flyers, etc. We will be back by Sunday night, Feb 19. Please consider coming with us. Transportation, food, snacks, and housing are covered. If you prefer driving your own vehicle we will provide gas cards and easy pass/ toll money. As soon as I know how many people will join us I will be able to book our stay. We will only "work" during the day, feel free to do tourist stuff or chill in the evenings. We appreciate everyone who is helping, thank you! If you can come with or meet us there that would be great, we need your help. Please reach out to me with any questions! [email redacted]

I am a Persian Gulf Navy veteran. My son Drexyll disappeared from NYC on September 25, 2022. His father is also a Persian Gulf Navy veteran. We are raising $15,000* to bring a search team of family and friends from Detroit to NYC to search for Drexyll, and to hire professionals to look for him. The NYPD has NO LEADS. Drexyll disappeared without a trace, with no phone use, no bank activity, no use of his metro pass, and without even his I.D. Drexyll is kind, soft spoken, loves animals, and is missed greatly by his loved ones. He has NEVER gone without contacting his family or friends. Never not shown up for work and for his clients. The NYPD has thousands of missing people reported every year, and as a result they focus on children and vulnerable seniors (understandably). We hope to raise enough money to fund a search for Drexyll. We are afraid that something bad has happened, and we need to find him. We hope to travel from Detroit, Mi to NYC and work with friends and family in New York to search for him, find him, and get him to safety. Any donation you can make is greatly appreciated! Please share info about the search for Drexyll and this fundraising effort. If you have any information or would like to help in the search, please let us know!
EDIT:
Tom (Drexylls stepdad) and I drove out to NYC over the holiday to search for Drexyll. While in NYC, and since getting back to Metro Detroit, we have had several people ask us if we as a family have thought about hiring a private investigator to help us find Drexyll. The NYPD Missing Persons investigation has so far turned up nothing. And despite their claims that a PI will just do the same things the NYPD has done, plus charge us thousands to do it, we are desperate and will be speaking to several private investigators in an effort to find the right one for Drexylls case...
*I am changing the fundraising goal and purpose, by a bit. I am raising the amount we hope to raise, to include money for a private investigator or "finder". We are still taking people to NYC to search for Drexyll!! We will have dates soon, so please consider coming with us or meeting us there.
And please keep sharing posts and the fundraiser, to help us find Drexyll. Remember to follow helpusfindDrexyll on tiktok, facebook, instagram, twitter, and youtube for updates.

Thank you, everyone!
