Help us fight Urban Sprawl in Palm Coast!

Hi! I am fundraising to help fund the appeal of what we feel was a complete disregard for the voices of 1049 local Palm Coast residents. There are case law and incomplete application concerns entirely ignored by the Mayor and City Council at the hearing on 1/18/22. The many concerned citizens repeatedly explained that a storage facility across from single-family homes is Incompatible, Inconsistent and Unnecessary in this location. We tried to explain that there are already 22 storage facilities in Palm Coast and six more coming. We gave details on the dangerous nature of this section of Old King's Rd, with blind curves and competing egress and ingress to the multiple communities. We gave examples of case law in which the homeowners were considered the experts on what is best for their well-being and safety, not a developer, City Council, or Planning Board. We expressed our concerns that when we bought our homes in Hidden Lakes and Toscana, we did our due diligence, and were aware of possible OFC-2 uses across the street from our communities. Today, the Planning Board will hear yet another Special Exception application for yet another Storage Facility less than 1 mile from this one owned by yet another California company! Please help the residents of Hidden Lakes and Toscana communities fight this injustice and failure to uphold our protected rights under the Land and Development Code and Comprehensive Plan. Thank you!
