Burkina Faso befinner sig sedan flera år tillbaka i en hungerskris som har orsakats av flera faktorer som klimatförändringar, störningar i leveranskedjor till följd av COVID 19-pandemin och det ökande antalet terrorattacker i landets norra del, vilket har lett till en flyktingkris. På grund av situationen i världen just nu har läget försämrats ännu mer på grund av störningar i leveranskedjorna för vete och kraftigt stigande priser.

Vi är en ideell organisation som heter Gosnere och är baserad i Burkina Faso och Sverige. Sedan 2005 har vi genomfört flera olika småskaliga projekt i Burkina Faso som har bidragit till sociala och ekonomiska aktiviteter. I vårt senaste projekt har vi jobbat med att utveckla en plattform i staden Mankoula där det bland annat ingår en vattenpump som lokalbefolkningen kan använda för vattenförsörjning av jordbruk och djurhållning. Vi har även ett projekt där vårt mål är att bygga en hälsocentral dit människor i landsbygdskommuner runt Ouagadougou kan söka sig för att få hjälp med enklare sjukvård och få råd om hur de kan ta hand om sin hälsa.

Många familjer på landsbygden i Burkina Faso riskerar svält på grund av anledningarna vi har nämnt ovan. Gosnere vill samla in pengar för att hjälpa dessa familjer så att de kan klara sig till september då nästa skördeperiod inträffar. Vi brukar söka bidrag från olika välgörenhetsorganisationer för våra projekt. Nu vill vi starta en kampanj med Go Fund Me för att samla in pengar för att hjälpa så många familjer som möjligt som riskerar att svälta annars.

Help us fight the hunger crisis in Burkina Faso!

Burkina Faso has been experiencing a growing hunger crisis for several years due to a combination of factors such as climate change, COVID 19-related disruptions to supply chains and growing terrorist activities in the northern part of the country, causing a refugee crisis. The situation has worsened in the last months because of what is happening in the world right now, as wheat supply chains have been disrupted and prices have soared.

We are a nonprofit organization called Gosnere based in Burkina Faso and Sweden. Since 2005, we have engaged in various small-scale projects in Burkina Faso that have supported social and economic activities. Our latest project involves developing a platform including a water pump in the town of Mankoula, which the locals can use to provide water for cultivation of crops and livestock. We also have an ongoing project that aims to build a health center to provide healthcare and health advice to people in the rural municipalities around Ouagadougou.

Many families in the countryside of Burkina Faso are at risk of famine due to the reasons we mentioned above. Gosnere is seeking to raise money to help these families so that they can survive until September when the next harvest will take place. We usually rely on different charitable organizations and programs to raise money for our projects. Now we want to start a campaign with Go Fund Me to raise money aiming to help as many families as possible that are at risk of starvation.

Le Burkina Faso connaît une famine croissante et ce depuis plusieurs années. C'est une combinaison de plusieurs facteurs comme le changement climatique, les perturbations des chaînes d'approvisionnement liées au COVID 19 et les activités terroristes croissantes dans le nord du pays qui ont provoqué une crise des réfugiés ainsi qu'une famine croissante. La famine s'est aggravée ces derniers mois en raison de la situation actuelle dans le monde : les chaînes d'approvisionnement en blé sont perturbées et les prix flambent.

Nous sommes une organisation à but non lucratif appelée « Gosnere » basée au Burkina Faso et en Suède. Depuis 2005, nous nous sommes engagés dans divers projets à petite échelle qui ont soutenus des activités sociales et économiques au Burkina Faso. Notre dernier projet consiste à développer une plate-forme comprenant une pompe à eau dans la ville de Mankoula (région centre-ouest du Burkina Faso). Les habitants pourront utiliser cette nouvelle pompe pour fournir de l'eau pour l’agriculture et le bétail. Nous avons également un projet en cours qui vise à construire un centre de santé pour fournir des soins et des conseils de santé aux habitants des communes rurales autour de Ouagadougou.

De nombreuses familles qui habitent dans les campagnes du Burkina Faso sont menacées de famine pour les raisons mentionnées ci-dessus. « Gosnere » cherche à collecter des fonds pour aider ces familles afin qu'elles puissent survivre jusqu'en septembre période à laquelle la prochaine récolte aura lieu. Nous comptons généralement sur différents organismes et programmes caritatifs pour collecter des fonds pour nos projets. Maintenant, nous voulons lancer une campagne avec « Go Fund Me » pour collecter des fonds pour aider autant de familles que possible car elles risquent de mourir de faim.
