Help Us Evacuate Safely from Hurricane Milton

Update: driving back home to Florida after evacuating to Atlanta. Still unsure of the damage to our apartment or when we can get back to work as our jobs have been affected badly by the storm. We truly appreciate everyone that has help us this far! We just need little more help so we can get on our feet while we wait for our jobs to also get back up and running! Please keep sharing. We were recently impacted by Hurricane Helene and were just getting back to work in the last couple of days. Now, our jobs have shut down once again, and we are prepping for Hurricane Milton, which is set to be a Category 5, directly hitting our area. The city has yet to pick up the piles of belongings from the devastation of Helene.

We are collecting funds to be able to evacuate as it has become mandatory. We feel the safest course of action is to head northwest to Savannah, Georgia. Our priority is the safety of ourselves and of our cat and dog.

We just moved here and have yet to catch up. With these hurricanes, it sets us back tremendously. These funds are to help us get a hotel, food, and gas as we head out of Florida for Milton.

Recientemente estuvimos afectados por el huracán Helene y apenas estábamos volviendo al trabajo en los últimos días. Ahora, nuestros trabajos se han cerrado una vez más y nos estamos preparando para el huracán Milton, que se espera que sea de categoría 5 y golpee directamente nuestra área. La ciudad aún no ha recogido las pilas de pertenencias dejadas por la devastación de Helene.
