Help us Build Our Greenhouse

Tax deductible
Have you, are someone you know, ever experienced the feeling of hunger? Have you ever had to deal with food insecurity where you experience the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food? These are things that many of us have never had to deal with, but over 40 million Americans live every day with hunger or food insecurity as their constant companion.

This is especially prevalent in small, rural communities across America. Not only due to the members of the community being financially distressed, but also because there just isn’t easy access to affordable, healthy foods.

Community Greenhouse Farms wants to change this. We want to give everyone the ability to have easy and affordable access to healthy foods, nutritional guidance and meal preparation assistance.

To do so, we must first be directly available inside the community. This will take the logistics of transportation out of the equation and give everyone in the community direct access to the things they need, when they need them. We then must do it in an affordable manner and even provide those that are living with financial distress and option (free). Lastly, we need to do it in an efficient manner and be able to provide an abundance of products 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, never letting the cupboards run dry.

During the covid-19 pandemic, we have seen how devastating things can be with food banks running dry, grocery store shelves being emptied and millions going without the basic necessities. This shouldn’t have happened in a country as strong as ours. We need to put systems in place to assure that this will never happen again.

Community Greenhouse Farms will be the solution we are looking for!

Our NEW property is a beautiful 20 acre parcel, located just a few miles outside of Lebanon, Missouri. Most of the farm is flat farm land and about a third of it is forested. Our hope is to be fully operational by May of 2021.

The farm will be comprised of multiple units. First and foremost, will be the greenhouse that will be equipped with an aquaponics system that has the ability to produce over 120,000+ lbs of produce and over 8000 lbs of fish annually. Next, will be the outdoor crops that will have the ability to produce over 200,000 lbs of produce annually. Lastly, we have the animals on the farm, Berkshire pigs, chickens and ducks. We will be able to raise 24,000 lbs of pork, 10,000 lbs of poultry and provide over 1500 dz eggs annually.

That is over 362,000 lbs of food annually. All produced on a farm that is only 20 acres in size with only ¼ of the cost of traditional farming. It is also environmentally friendly!
