Help us be her VOICE

On the night of Valentines Day, 2015, Erica Melissa Alonso was at a nightclub with her on again / off again boyfriend, Larry, who had a long history of domestic abuse. That night, the two of them befriended a couple, who confirmed that the last time they saw Erica, she and Larry were fighting. By the following morning Erica was missing. Her body was recovered on April 27th, just 73 days later, in a dry creek bed in the Cleveland National Forest just off the Ortega Highway in California. Based on the condition of how she was found, it was obvious she had been dumped there. It would have been impossible, based on her condition, for Erica to have gone there willingly. The autopsy and toxicology reports stated that Erica had a BAC of .22 and a lethal dose of GHB (date rape drug) in her system. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has ruled that her cause of death was an overdose, and even said there wasn’t enough evidence to suggest this was a homicide. But this just doesn’t add up. Erica’s car was found abandoned in a neighborhood more than 30 miles away from where her body was found. So how did she end up in that dry creek bed? Someone put her there. And we, the Alonso family, need answers. If this was an accident, and she did overdose, someone still broke the law by not reporting it. They hid her body, and with that, they hid the answers that we desperately need. By supporting this GoFundMe you will be helping our family raise the funds to hire the necessary individuals to help us solve Erica’s murder. We are hoping to hire a private investigator to look into the events that took place on the night February 14th, and the early morning hours of February 15th, 2015. Erica was a kind, funny, outgoing, and incredibly beautiful person whose life ended way too soon. She had dreams of becoming a mother one day and had a long bucket list of things she one day hoped to do. Erica was the victim of an abusive relationship, and the person responsible for this abuse was cleared by police way too quickly.
