Help Ukrainian refugee family start a new life

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Sharolyn Jackson and I'm asking for your help to make a difference for a Ukrainian refugee family so they can start a new life in Manhattan, Kansas. Dr. Antonina Broyaka, and her children Max (9) and Sasha (15), left their home in Ukraine, shortly after the war began, bringing only what they could carry with them and very little money. They crossed the border to safety in Poland and then came to the US. Antonina's husband, Volodymyr, is still in Ukraine where he voluntarily drives vulnerable people to safety across the border and assists in defending his country. Our hope is for him to join his family here when he is able.

Antonina has ties to Manhattan, KS from her experience in 2004-2005 as a Fulbright/JFDP at Kansas State University, where she established meaningful professional connections and friendships. She left a remarkable career in Ukraine, in university education, to protect her children. The funds raised will support Antonina and her family in the following ways: to pay for food, clothing, housing, utilities, transportation, and expenses related to obtaining US citizenship.

We are delighted to be able to welcome this family to our community. Antonina is very grateful for all of the help and support she receives. She is actively looking for work and the children are adjusting very well in school. There are many needs this family is facing right now and any help you can provide would be so appreciated.
