HELP UKRAINIAN CHILDREN & WOMEN

My dear friends and people of all nations who are not indifferent to the WAR that RUSSIA started in UKRAINE 5 days ago.

Many of you know that originally I come from Ukraine, and my hometown is Kyiv which is also under bomb attack from Russian and Belarusian missiles for the past 4 days. My name is Katya Zhylka; I’m an actress, I was born and raised in Ukraine, and I moved to LA 10 years ago with my husband, also a Ukrainian citizen, to pursue our dream in the entertainment industry.

My mom and dad have been hiding in the basement of their house in Kyiv for the past five days. Thank God they are safe for now. My older brother had to take out his family to a safe place in the central part of Ukraine, where are no bomb attacks have been detected yet. After that, he returned back to Kyiv to defend his country and nation.

I cannot begin to tell you what my nation has been through for more than 96 hours right now. The terror they are experiencing at the hands of Russian soldiers is immeasurable. My whole being is being shattered every single minute since 5 AM of February 24. I am constantly on my phone checking in with my parents and family members that I can reach to at this moment.

I am sure most of you know what is going on right now in Ukraine from the news or social media, and I hope now that the whole world has opened his eyes to who Putin is really are - A TIRAN, an imperialist who wants to take over not only Ukraine but the whole world. It is only a matter of time for him. Ukraine is a tiny country in comparison to Russia, but its spirit for freedom and life is bigger than the planet EARTH itself, and that is why I believe we will win. By being so far from my family, my people and my country, the only thing I could do during these five days was pray and try to spread the information about the invasion in my country. But I guess the shock of the events of the very few days has gone, and now I want to help my country more than ever before. As of today, more than 500,000 people fled Ukraine to the nearest lands of Poland, Moldova and Romania. But a lot more people can’t leave their homes right now because it’s hazardous. Most of the big cities are constantly under attack.

Many mothers, kids, older people, disabled people can’t leave their homes, and they have no one to help them right now. Most of the Ukrainian men voluntarily joined the military to fight for their country.

I am a mother myself. I have a six-year-old daughter, and I wish to no one to experience what Ukrainian mothers and kids are experiencing right now in the underground bomb shelters all over the country. Therefore today, I’m starting my own initiative to help those that I can. My mother Nadiia Zhylka, is an accomplished and well-known OB/GYN in Ukraine. She is in constant contact with the hospitals and shelters that provide first aid, urgent care, and necessary help to women and children. Kids do not choose when to be born. They just do ❤️ and there are a lot of children that were left in the NICU Units in hospitals of Ukraine that are in need of emergency medical and infant supplies.

I am sure that you can help them through numerous organizations all over the world that are trying to help Ukraine right now. But with this GoDundMe all, I want to do everything possible that I can locally

In a few days, I am flying to Europe, where I will be able to send everything needed directly to the border of Ukraine. Therefore today, I am asking you for a donation to the most valuable cause of all is to save the lives of the future of my nation - the children & women.
