Help Ukrainian Artisans Get Back On Their Feet

Hello! My name is Halyna, and I am one of the founders of blueandyellow.shop - a non profit organization that helps Ukrainian artisans who have lost their jobs because of the Russian invasion. Given the impact of the war on the Ukrainian economy, it will be nearly impossible for them to rebuild without our help. Our mission is to help them recoup their income and get them back on their feet.

Together we have created a marketplace where they can sell their handmade products to buyers around the world. 90% of all profits goes directly to the artisans themselves and 10% to the Ukrainian relief funds. So instead of giving a one-time donation, buyers are helping these artisans rebuild their businesses. And in return they receive beautiful handcrafted Ukrainian goods and the knowledge that they are helping to provide a sustainable, ongoing source of income for those that have been devastated financially by the war. We hope to create a virtuous cycle that helps Ukrainians build resilience and stand on their own.

Blue and Yellow is not for profit and therefore we don’t retain any of the proceeds. The model is working today at modest scale, and we have seen early success in helping our initial group of artisans, but we need your help to scale, so that we may help more people.

The key costs to be covered include marketing and technology to support our platform so that we may reach more people. Please donate as little or as much as you can, everything counts!
