My dear friend, Claudia, a single mom to 2 amazing young women, has lost everything in the Palisades fire. She was able to evacuate with her 16 year old dog Tulip, a change of clothes, and a few mementos. Fortunately her girls are safely away at college. To put it bluntly, her fire insurance was cancelled in November (like so many others in the Palisades) and she had to sign up for the CA Fair Plan, and is considerably underinsured. Right now she has no home, few clothes and nowhere to keep her dog safe and sound while she’s trying to put her life back together. In the immediate future, she needs a place where she and her dog can stay (ideally a 1 bedroom or studio - not a shared space) and some cash to address her immediate needs. Anything you can give to help her out over the next few weeks and months would be deeply appreciated and have a huge impact on her and her family. Thank you so much!
