Tubbs Fire victims Dan & Debbie

My name is Irena Luft and I am starting this fundraising campaign for my parents Deborah and Dan Stover. My parents lost their home and all of their belongings in the Santa Rosa/ Tubbs Fire.
In the early morning hours of October 9th, 2017, my entire family was woken from their sleep by the sounds of sirens and a sheriff's bullhorn yelling "Get Out Now!"
With the fire beating down on them they had only seconds to grab our dogs, my uncle, and run. They barely made it out alive. Our home, on the corner of Ursuline Road and Mark West Springs Road area near Cardinal Newman is now burned down to nothing. Just a chimney to mark the grave of the home my parents have spent years building a life in. Our family is devastated and heart broken. Our beloved cats Tootie and Gypsy did not make it as they were hiding in the house.
My stepfather, an American Vietnam veteran, is on disability and my mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). They are the caregivers to my uncle who is mentally developmentally disabled, terminally ill, and on hospice. My parents have been in the Santa Rosa area for most of their lives. Now in their mid-fifties and in the depths of their grief, they are facing to start over again with nothing but the clothes on their back.
The last two days have been a rollercoaster of emotions. Now they are faced with the harsh reality that everything is gone, our fur family, family photos, our treasured items, and mementos. They have nothing.
This fundraiser is to help them buy basic necessities and get back on their feet. Anything you can donate, no matter how small, will help my parents rebuild what they can of the life that they had.
Thank you so much for helping them to rebuild their lives. We are grateful for any donations large or small. I will be withdrawing funds and all donations will be sent directly to my parents bank account.
