Please help Jeremy, Amanda and Ian stay in their family home.
These young people's mother just passed away from Cancer. She was diagnosed the middle of October and passed away November 16th. It was so quick and unexpected that there was no will or provisions in place for these three young people who all still live at home.
Jeremy is 22 years old and is unable to work and receives a small pension from the government. Amanda just turned 19. She graduated in June and has a part time job with the Chamber of Commerce. Ian turned 18 just days after his mother passed away. He is completing his grade 12 and has a part time online position.
All the accounts have been frozen so they cannot access any funds or pay the outstanding bills. There is a mortgage on the home as well as insurance and hydro to pay. There are also several pets that need caring for.
We are scrambling to try and keep these young people living in the only home they have ever known.
This is a very tragic event and doubly so happening right before the Holidays.
