We have a big response online and it sounds like quite a few of our allies will be Walking For Living Wages with us on March 11th. Starting an organization is a lot of work any support for our cause is greatly appreciated, we are building a great foundation, join us and be heard! I will not stop until every human gets a living wage, period. 

Latest podcast is here, and thanks to our sponsors Interactive Lee and Keys Acoustics, I should be able to livestream the entire thing on the 11th. 

For this event we want to raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, but since our government is ineffective we are simply encouraging companies to offer a living wage and urging employees to not accept less than a living wage. 

My job besides all the preparations? 

I'm working a 12 hour day, I'm walking 18 miles. 

I ask everyone for a suggested donation of either

$1 per mile = $15 

or

1 hour of your hourly wage 

or

Business owner that pays a living wage? 

Donate whatever a day's pay working for you would be, and be featured on our list of Employer allies. 

Building a better future from the ground up is hard, but we can do anything we put our minds to if we do it together

The past four months have been an amazing journey and I am excited to be continuing to work on making the workplace fair for everyone.

An organization built to aid all workers, period.

We think every human deserves a living wage, and that starts with the people who don't make one, many of whom we consider to be "essential" yet do not make enough money to care for themselves and their families. 

In order to build a better workplace for everyone, Joey Holz of #thejoeyholzexperiment wants your help. 

We are walking for better wages on Friday March 11th, a minimum 15 miles for a minimum $15 an hour.

Joey Holz aka Mohawk Joey will be doing the walking. 

Feel free to join in anywhere on the over 15 mile walk. 

We will start on US 41 at 7 am in front of the Coconut Point Mall and proceed up US 41, through Bell Tower Shoppes, through Edison Mall, and on to the heart of Downtown Fort Myers where we will peacefully assemble around 5 pm and make our voices heard.
