The Tribune Needs Your Help!

DON'T stop the presses!

Neighbors, friends, local businesses, we are all in this together. For the first time in 91 years, your Tribune needs to appeal for help. Livingston's Community Newspaper, the West Essex Tribune, is struggling financially and in need of assistance from the community. 

The Tribune is experiencing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, just as all of our residents and businesses are. For the past 91 years we've been there for Livingston residents and businesses. From the days when Route 10 was a dirt road taking Livingston farmers to the stores and offices in Newark, the Tribune has brought readers all of the community news: news about township meetings, local history, school sports, politics, how to get help, and how to help those in need.  We've also been a trusted venue for businesses to advertise their goods and services to our readers, and for non-profit and community organizations to spread the word of their activities.

Now, we need YOU. Even without money coming in, we are continuing to publish the Tribune, because we feel that this is precisely the time when the Livingston community needs us most.  But without income, we can't afford to print and mail the paper, or to pay our staff.

Our pledge is to use any money raised through this effort to help other local businesses in town so that we can all stay viable and get back to "business as usual" when this challenging time has passed. Your donation will provide funding to keep us open and publishing. We will use any funds raised to subsidize ads for Livingston businesses who are also in trouble due to the coronavirus outbreak.
