As a child I grew up in the rural area of Urgun, Afghanistan. Not only my nation suffered from the war but animals were suffering too. As a child I especially felt sorry for dogs because for them there was no attention at all. One of the main reasons is that most of the people in this country think that dogs are dirty.

Unlike most of these people, my conviction always was and still is that dogs are the most lovely and faithfull animals in the world. Since I was a little boy I allready had a bond with them. Since I was 8 years old I started taking streetdogs home and took care for them. Often my family didn't agree with me because I kept bringing dogs home. Although they didn't agree, they gave me a place to take care for them.

As I grew up, my high sense of justice called me in another way. I served my country for more then 10 years, together with my brother. During these 10 years I was not able to take care for the dogs in our area but I always kept my dream alive.

In the summer of 2021 I moved to the Netherlands to share my life together with my wife Caroline.

In the year 2023 I went back and visited my family in Afghanistan. During my visit I witnessed cruelty: the Municipality poisoned streetdogs because in their eyes this was and still is their only solution controlling Rabies. Since decades there are too many cases of people who get infected by Rabiës. I fully agree that this situation needs to stop but not in this cruel way. I was not able to face this anymore. From this day on I decided to find a solution for these dogs because they have the right to live too. Once back in the Netherlands, at that moment I couldn't find a way establishing a stable solution.

In the early summer of 2025 I went back and one day I was facing a puppy who was injured and bleeding badly, I realised: if I am not going to take action now, my dream would just stay a dream. This same summer I finally took action: I gathered friends from my community in Afghanistan who are supporting me for the fully 100%: Caroline Animal Care Foundation was born!

Caroline is the one who fully understands my visions as well as my vision about the streetdogs in Afghanistan. We share the same high sense of justice. She inspires me and always supports me in following my dreams. We decided setting up this foundation together. This is the reason why I named the foundation by her name.

As we are writing our story and dreams down, the only tangible until now is the first symbolic brick laid. We request you to be part of our mission saving these dogs by donating. Any amount is welcome because many little donations will reach our goals.
