I have been friends with the Slyk family for over ten years. Piotr and Iwona are the warmest, kindest people you’ll ever meet. Their positivity and unwavering faith are truly remarkable. Anyone who has met Piotr knows he is a devoted family man who always places his family first. He is hardworking, loving, quiet, kind, friendly, and strong. He is also a passionate soccer player who can’t wait to get back on the field with his friends. They have a remarkable family, including their daughter Ola who is a sophomore in high school, and their son Mateusz who is pursuing a business degree in college.

Four years ago, Piotr received the devastating news of a Stage 4 colon cancer diagnosis that had already spread to his liver. Piotr has been through multiple surgeries and chemotherapy sessions. They have done everything possible to help Piotr beat this relentless disease anchored by their strong faith in God. However, after four years, the mountain of medical bills, including crucial infusions not covered by insurance, has created a financial burden that is simply overwhelming. To make matters more challenging, Piotr has been unable to work due to his health condition.
