Help The Seabirds Foundation make waves on Ashley’s Birthday
Steuerlich absetzbar
Hi, I’m Ashley Bugge. A widowed mom of three young kids, I’ve learned life is too short to wait for things to happen and if we want something - it’s up to us to do it now.
With this mantra in mind, I’ve just completed my doctorate of education in leadership and co-founded The Seabirds Foundation (a 501c3 nonprofit) which focuses on bringing “regular people” like you and me on ocean expeditions to participate in hands-on polar citizen science initiatives! We’re partnered with NOAA to help provide open source acoustics data we collect from data-scarce regions of the world as well as building our own ARC GIS story map to tell comprehensive stories of what we’re seeing, hearing, and experiencing in oceans around the globe. For my birthday this year I’m fundraising to help facilitate the purchase of a second hydrophone as well as two Garmin global positioning systems to help ensure the data we’re collecting and providing to scientists, researchers, and ocean enthusiasts around the world is as accurate and robust as possible. We’re headed to the Arctic in just a few weeks and with your help we can make this happen!
Note to consult your tax advisor as this could be a tax deductible contribution. The Seabirds Foundation is a registered nonprofit charity!
Thank you,
Ashley
