Help the Porters cover their medical bills

Hey everyone!

We are raising money to help Dave, Gina, & little Jaxson Porter cover expenses after Dave had a life threatening dirt bike crash last week.

As Dave was heading home from an afternoon ride, something got under his goggles and into his eye. While clearing it, the dirt road he was on came to an abrupt T and Dave was not able to stop in time. He went down and slid into the embankment on the backside of the road (which probably saved his life because there was a barbed wire fence behind it). The impact caused a compound break of his femur and significant blood loss. His Ankle was badly broken as well. As Dave struggled to try and get a tourniquet around his leg, someone happened to drive by and stop. Dave asked them for a strap and the two of them were able to tourniquet his leg.

Dave was life flighted from the area he was in outside of Salida, CO to the hospital in Colorado Springs. The Doctors placed a large rod and 4 screws in his femur. Dave, Gina & Jackson are currently in Colorado Springs in an AirBNB waiting for the swelling to go down in his ankle so the doctors can preform the needed surgery there.

While they do have insurance, there is a cap on it that we don't believe will cover all the expenses. The life flight alone could end up being $50,000. As many of you know, Dave owns his own business and makes his living as a talented carpenter. With the injuries he sustained, it is very possible he wont be able to work for 6-8 months.

Lets all come around this family and show them our support and love. They already feel so grateful for everyone that has reached out, but I know there is more room for us to bless them. Please stop and take a minute now to give anything you can even if it is small. Every little bit adds up.
