Help The Petersens Recover from Hurricane Ian

Hello, I am Caleb Petersen, and less than four months ago, my parents Kerry and Karen Petersen, sold their home they had for 37 years in Illinois to retire in Fort Meyers, Florida. They moved there for the sunshine, relaxation and warm winters.

When they heard about Hurricane Ian, they evacuated their home and stayed with our family. On Friday, September 30, they returned to see the damages of the hurricane and found the storm surge had flooded their home as high as 5ft. This flooding destroyed most of their home and everything in it, roofing, family photos, new furniture, clothing, etc.

They maxed out their insurance when they purchased the home, but it only covered a fraction of the value. Insurance money, especially in instances like this, is usually delayed.

All of the contributions will go to my parents. The donations will allow them to begin rebuilding their life that was left in pieces, back together and to

start (establish) a new home.

There is a lot of work ahead. We all greatly appreciate your generosity and prayers.
