My Dearest friends and neighbors,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news of a fire that completely destroyed the home of Charlie and Janelle (Marshall) Oakes and their two young sons in our Bangor, NY community. The fire occurred just a few nights ago.

While we are immensely relieved that Janelle, Charlie, and their children escaped without physical injury, the emotional and financial toll of this loss is immeasurable. They have lost not only their home and possessions, but also irreplaceable family heirlooms and cherished memories – the very fabric of their lives.

Please keep Janelle, Charlie, and their children in your thoughts and prayers. Your compassion and support will be instrumental in helping them navigate this heartbreaking experience and begin the long process of rebuilding their home and their lives.
