Help the O Family bring baby home!

A dear friend of mine just celebrated a huge blessing by officially adopting now two children they had been fostering for some time. They are the type of people you can't help but love and admire. They're foster parents. Genuine and lovely and everything you'd want from friends or family. After cheering them along in their newest additions, a post came along my feed, that CPS had called them asking if they could take the soon to be born sibling of one of their current foster children. Their hearts were broken as they so desperately wanted the opportunity to keep the two together, but didn't have the financial luxury of taking off work unpaid for the time a new born needs. Their hearts ached with desire to keep these siblings together and make sure the new baby wouldn't want for anything. Being a special education  teacher and in HR , with hearts as big as Texas- we knew we had to try to make this happen for them. Foster families are special kind of angels as they're always ready to take in a child at a moments notice , with the love and understanding that the ultimate goal is to offer relief to the bio parents and have them returned to them in time. That doesn't always happen and when it doesn't- this family makes it a point to keep these children where they are so they don't have to question where they're going next. Money should never be the cause of a blessing for both sides to not happen. I'm hoping the community, state or nation can come together and allow for this child to meet her soon to be baby brother or sister. That we can also show how amazing being a foster family is to those who may be on the fence. Let's make that happen.

Message from mom:

Our foster journey began in December 2012 when my husband was approached by a little boy while he was working at 5am in a convenience store. The boy approached him wearing only a t-shirt and sweatpants in 32 degree weather saying his parents had left him. This started our process in what happened to him and how could we help. We researched into becoming foster parents, went through a lot of training and in November 2013 we were placed with an 18m old little girl. She stayed with us for a year before being reunited with her mother. During that time a little 3 year old boy was placed with us as well. After 646 days in foster care, our lives were changed on November 21, 2015, National Adoption Day, when we adopted our son. A few months later we were placed with a little chubby 10m old baby girl. After spending 641 days in foster care she officially became our little girl on November 18, 2017, National Adoption Day. A few months ago we were placed with an almost 4 year old little girl. During a recent visit from CPS, they asked if we would be open and willing to fostering her sibling that is about to be born. Our hearts were breaking, there was no way we could split up siblings. However a newborn cannot go to daycare until they are 6 weeks old. That means that I would need to stay home for about 6 weeks with a newborn and take family/medical leave from work. In order to be able to keep these siblings together we need to secure funds that I would be missing on FML. We foster to provide a home and love for kids when they need it. Thank you for helping us keep these siblings together. Every one of you who help us will be part of something so incredible to all of us and we will look back and show them the love , kindness , and difference a friend, family or even a stranger can make. That we all have the ability to change someone's life.
Bless you and thank you for any consideration.
