Help the McCormick Family Overcome Medical Debt

Hello, we are the McCormick’s, a family of 6 living in Missouri. We have been married for 8 years and are blessed with four beautiful children (7, 5, 4, and 2).

I have had severe Crohn’s Disease for over 20 years and I had to have my third surgery in September 2024. I’ve lost about 1/3 of my GI tract, and with this most recent surgery I’ve now lost the ability to absorb certain foods. This requires specific foods my body will accept which costs more to find and buy.

We also have many outstanding bills from surgeries (lost wages, travel costs, hotels, gas, food, etc.). To make matters worse, I lost my job due to my health along with my health insurance, so we have to pay for all of this out of pocket now.

I have to have another surgery in March 2025, which will require more travel and medical expenses. I am very malnourished (weighing in at a whopping 113lbs currently) so during this surgery and hospital stay I will have to be put on supplemental tube feeding. Long-term this will require tube feeds into my stomach tube multiple times per day. If I fail that I will be placed on supplemental IV feeding for the foreseeable future.

This is very life-altering and we need your support to get through all of this. This has added up exponentially on our debt load, and we can’t get out from under it without your help.
