Help the Lucas Family After Toxic Mold Exposure.

My name is Keith Zink and I am writing this on behalf of my Son-in-law, Frank Lucas & my daughter, Shelby, and their two children, because they are in need of help.

Frank was Called to serve as pastor at a small, rural Christian church in Missouri in 2016. His wife, Shelby, and their eight-year-old daughter and five-year-old son have lived in church housing since then. Shelby and the kids began suffering severe health problems, which lead to the discovery of toxic mold in the parsonage.

Due to the severity of their symptoms, the Lucas Family followed their doctor’s advice and moved out of the parsonage. In addition, nearly all their belongings had to be left behind. Friends and family have helped with replacing furniture and the kids’ most-loved toys. The Lucases are still working on replacing their homeschool curricula, school supplies, and children’s books. Unfortunately, renter’s insurance does not cover mold unless it is due to an acute problem, such as a flood. Otherwise, the insurance company cannot determine if the mold began during the current renter’s policy.

In addition, Shelby and the kids continue to struggle with health issues. The three of them are in mold toxicity treatment, which will take a year or two. The treatment is expensive and not covered by insurance.

The Lucases are now living in a two-bedroom rental and hope to one day move to a house of their own once they are able to get through this crisis.

The Lucas family needs financial help, emotional support, and your prayers as they start over and seek to recover their health. If you are able to help this family financially, it would be an answer to prayer. If you could pray for the Lucas Family, it would be a blessing.
