On July 22, 2020, Dominique Wood was in a car accident at the intersection of 183rd St. and Center Ave. in Homewood, Illinois. He was transported to a nearby hospital, and soon passed away from his injuries. Dominique had just turned 19 years old twelve days prior to his passing. He is survived by his parents, Roy and Nichole, and his older brother, Roy (Buddy).
Dominique, Dom to his friends and DD to his family, was a great soul to be around. He was a determined, humble, virtuous, and dedicated in every aspect of every word. To have known Dom was to love him and feel loved by him. He was an amazing and loving son, grandson, nephew, brother, and friend. Dom was studying at Lewis University, where he was also running track.
The Wood family plans to honor Dominique with a visitation for family and friends, as well as a burial. All of the money raised through this campaign will be given to his family, in hopes of helping them with any medical and/or funeral expenses.
