The Ellyson’s are adopting!! With it being national adoption month I wanted to be able to share the exciting news with all of our friends and family. We plan on starting a blog with all the information on our why’s and where we are at in the process as soon as we can.
We are already overwhelmed with God’s provision for us in this process and all the doors that have opened. We’ve seen many answered prayers and are excited to continue walking in faith as we look forward to the child that God has for us.
The girls are excited! Ava’s convinced her job is going to be to rock and feed the baby and she gave Clara the job of changing diapers! To which Clara responded, “I’m getting a human baby not a puppy baby and I get to change the diapers and “my” okay with that!” So we are all looking forward to opening our heart and home and heading back into the world of diapers!
Joe and I have always talked about adoption since the beginning of our marriage we just didn’t know or understand when the timing would be. But for those who don’t know; we have had two miscarriages one year apart exactly from the other. July 14th 2016 and July 14th 2017; and for us we really just feel a peace in moving forward in this direction. I’ll talk more about this later! But for now know we’re completely secure in God’s provision and His faithfulness during those hard times as we now lean on His strength and faithfulness yet again in a new time of waiting and longing for the day our family will grow.
We ask that you’d pray for our family during this time; for the birth mom; the new baby and that God would continue to provide all we need during this time. One of the hardest parts about adoption for us has always been the financial burden; and here we have also seen the Lord provide exactly what we need in his timing and only as He can. (I’ll write more on this too…. Miracles people!!! So exciting!) So thank you for reading and praying!
