Marisa's Veterinary Trip to the Galapagos Islands!

This summer I will spend a week in the Galapagos Islands volunteering with World Vets, a non-profit organization providing veterinary care to the resident dog and cat populations that would otherwise have none. World Vets has a small surgical facility where I will assist in spay and neuter surgeries to help reduce companion animal overpopulation, which is a large problem in this area.

Protecting these populations is vital to the success of the island's biodiversity but it comes with a significant cost to participate. I ask for your support as this cost pales in comparison to the impact it will have on the residents and animals on the island. The cost of the trip covers veterinary supplies, volunteer materials, housing, food, ground transportation, and flights.

Any donations not used for the project will be donated to the World Vets organization for future projects to continue supporting their vision to create a world where all animals have access to skilled veterinary care.
