Help Afghan Families Rebuild Their Lives in the Aftermath of Heavy Flooding
You can make a difference in the villagers' lives with your donation.
On July 11 and 12, the melting snow caused the banks of a natural dam to break down and create a landslide in Peshghor village of Khinj district, Panshir province of Afghanistan. As a result of the heavy flood, 10 people died, 8 are missing and their bodies haven't been found, now over a month since the incident happened. More than 300 houses have completely destroyed. The owners of these houses could only save their own lives and their families' by escaping to a nearby mountain but lost all their belongings. The flood also damaged 1,000 hectares or 2,470 acres of farmland. This is while the villagers relied on the farmland as their main source of livelihood.
There is a severe shortage of drinking water and food supplies in Peshghor. The people of Peshghor need you to stand by their side, and help them to survive and rebuild their lives.
Your donations will go directly to the survivors through the trusted local workers. Your donations will help the locals to access food and basic necessities. We will provide updates on how the donated money will be used to help the people of Peshghor.
Please consider donating today to help the villagers stand on their feet again and heal from the consequences of this disaster. To register your email for updates please contact [E-Mail ausgeblendet].
Sincerely,
Khalid Mirzamir & Diba Hareer
