Help Teresa Bass Fight Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Teresa (Tee) Bass was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Usually sudden news of this nature would cause a person to retreat, leaving them feeling alone and depressed, that is not the case for Teresa. She is a fighter by nature and has embraced this challenge from the start. There is no cure for stage 4 breast cancer, however Teresa's oncologist has assured us that she is going to work very hard with her team to continue finding treatments that will help her fight this great fight.
Teresa's Story
Teresa was born in Tacoma, WA and raised for most of her life in Hattiesburg, MS. She is a single mother who raised her son, Cameron, on her own from the day he was born. She dedicated her life to raising her only child. She is grandma to her granchildren, Garrett 9 years old and Owen 1 year old. A daughter to Diana. A sister to Deanna, Johnny, and Vicci. A mother-in-law to Julie. A sister-in-law to Connie, Renee, and Rick. She's a niece, an aunt, and great aunt, and a cousin to quite a few. She is a best friend, and confidant.

Teresa is a believer in spirit and giving back, even when she doesn't have alot to give. She is dedicated to family and her close friends who are all in attendance to help her fight this fight. Although her family and friends are helping all they can, they need some outside help as well. This is going to be a long battle against a relentless disease but if we all pitch in wherever we can, Teresa will be able to focus on her personal fight so she can get back to living and loving life. She really enjoys hiking, kayaking, being by the water, spending time with her fur babies, and sharing time with family and friends anytime and in anyway she can.

Teresa first went into the hospital with a sore on her breast and excruciating lower back pain, it was then that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and a large mass that had pressed on her spine so hard it broke her back. Beforehand, she was working with a broken back and just thought she hurt herself at work. She underwent surgery to have the mass removed and parts of her spine fused, and began radiation immediately. Throughout all of the labs, tests, x-rays and MRI's that were done, they have since discovered it has spread to her hip/pelvic bone, two spots at the base of her skull, lymph nodes in her chest, another spot on her vertebra, and of course her breast. She has extensive chemotherapy treatments, and daily radiation treatments. She has had a few minor setbacks with chemo treatments as it took them some time to find one that her body would accept. However, her oncologist is confident she has the perfect cocktail for now, but will have to switch them over time as her body stops responding to each one. With the aggressiveness of her treatments, Teresa was told by her doctors that she cannot work, and should limit her time around masses of people. Her immune system is as such that even the slightest fever can lead her into a terminal state.
Teresa's Expenses
We have set up a few different donation pages to help Teresa with any financial issues she may have. We would like to break down her financial situation so all of you can see where your donations will be applied: rent $700 per month; utilities $150 per month; a $1000 ambulance bill that her insurance did not cover from that first devastating night to the hospital, and a medical bill that insurance only covered partial payment of $800, leaving a balance of $1200 which is Tee's

From our family to yours, we appreciate any and all donations you are able to give. Thank you so much. We pray continually that God blesses those who support her. Anything helps and no donation is too little. We know that God multiplies in financial situations like this and we know that God always provides. We hope it be through you. Please share this page as another way of support. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-teresa-bass-fight-breast-cancer
