Help Tamarion keep his business running

Donation protected
Tamarion is an 11-year-old entrepreneur based in Ganthers Place, on the South Side of Columbus. He spends his summer and fall offering landscaping services like lawnmowing, weed whacking, and leaf pickup. He uses his neighbor’s equipment to get jobs done and his earnings to provide comfort to his family of 10, while saving a little for emergencies.

2020 was a hard year for a lot of people, and Tamarion and his family are no different. Due to unpaid taxes by his landlord, Tamarion’s house is officially in foreclosure. He, his nine siblings, and his mother Tamara have to find new housing in the midst of a pandemic.

While the foreclosure of their home is its own devastating loss, Tamarion must also part with the clientele he’s built up since he started his landscaping business in 2018, and the equipment he’s borrowed from his neighbor that makes his job possible.

For this reason, I’m asking for folks to give what they can to help my neighbor get landscaping equipment of his own. We’re hoping to get him a mower, weed whacker, and blower, and our goal is to raise $750. We appreciate any dollars you’re willing to give, and any additional funds will be directed to Tamarion’s family as they transition into new housing.

If you are unable to give at this time, please consider sharing this fundraiser! Thank you for your time and consideration to donate funds for this amazing young person.

Quotes from his neighbors:

"Tamarion is one of the first people we met when we moved to the South Side. He knocked on our door one day to offer his lawn and general "handyman services" and we couldn't have been more pleased to meet him. Tamarion has helped us maintain our yard, clean-up leaves, and even pick up after our dog! He's kind, dependable, and hard-working- a real pleasure to know" -Jennifer

"Tamarion is such a great kid; so dependable and smart" -NM

“I call him “Little Man” but the way he carries himself is significantly more mature. Never has he asked for anything but the ability to do some work here and there for a couple dollars. Back in the day, kids had paper routes, but this Little Man has a community he navigates with his grass cutting, weed pulling, etc. Most kids are not built like this, which is just one of the many reasons I am more than happy to support him. This Little Man is intelligent, hardworking, family oriented, creative, and an overall go-getter. I’m lucky our paths crossed!” -Abel
