Sydney Weaver is a 17-year-old Acton, Ontario resident that lives life to the fullest every day, not letting the Cerebral Palsy she was born with dampen her zest for life in the least.
An accomplished award-winning writer and Standardbred horse owner and groom, Sydney is also a tireless contributor to several charity causes, such as Friends of We Care and Easter Seals. Sydney was also voted the 2013 I Love Canadian Standardbred Racing Fan Club Ambassador for her efforts promoting harness racing, which is her greatest passion.
One goal that Sydney pursues with zest is becoming more independent as she gets closer to graduating from high school and begins her post-secondary education and goal to earn a Journalism degree. Sydney has a dream to get her licence and drive. But Sydney’s condition requires a special vehicle that is custom built which gives her the opportunity to operate the vehicle.
Sydney has already got the Dodge Grand Caravan with the basic conversion package partially funded, but needs help getting across the finish line. Any donations would be appreciated to help this wonderful and vibrant young lady fulfil her dream to drive and help her gain independence as she gets close to some very important milestones in her life.
