Help the Veterans at the Band of Brothers Home
Donation protected
The Band of Brothers Home is operated by Veterans, for Veterans. Edward Levy, a Vietnam Veteran started this home by himself and has funded it out of pocket for the last couple years. With the help of his staff, they have acted as a permanent home for some and a place to help homeless vets get back on their feet. Frank Rose, 92 going on 93 years old resides here. In his state, he requires a 24/7 running oxygen tank, a 24/7 caretaker, and meds. We have been fighting for Frank and other vets to receive VA Benefits, but the wait has been going on for over 7 months and available funds are becoming critically low. We need funds to keep these men going, and for Frank, to keep him alive.
Currently there are 4 residents at the home with others coming in and out. Edward wants to expand his reach for homeless veterans and has achieved a VA Sanctioned Status where more veterans will be notified of this wonderful place to stay, however, the VA does not fund sanctioned homes. With more funds, Edward, his team, and Code of Vets will be able to help more veterans. The work these ladies and gentlemen are doing has changed the lives of over 30 veterans, and some, their families. Our veterans need help, and so do the people helping them as we pick up the slack the VA is leaving behind. All donations will go directly to Levy Community Services to fund the house and its residents. We are so grateful for any help me can get! We stand tall with our Brothers and Sisters who need help, and we are here to give it. God Bless.
