Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We come to you today with heavy hearts as we rally around our dear friend, Matt, his wife Brittany, and their three boys—Landen (13), Bryce (11), and Porter (7). Matt has spent the last 17 years serving as a dedicated officer with the Phoenix Police Department, putting his heart and soul into protecting and serving his community. Now, he and his family need our help.

Over the past year, Matt has faced unimaginable health challenges. What started as balance issues in late 2023 quickly escalated into a serious spinal condition, leaving him unable to walk without assistance. He has undergone three major back surgeries, grueling rehabilitation, and countless tests, all while fighting to return to the job he loves. Despite his unwavering determination, his condition has not improved, and he is now at a crossroads—unable to work, struggling to maintain medical coverage for his family, and facing an uncertain future.

Matt has exhausted all of his personal and sick leave, and despite the generosity of his fellow officers donating hours to help him stay afloat, it simply isn’t enough. The reality is that his family is now facing overwhelming financial hardship. As anyone who knows Matt will tell you, asking for help is not something he would ever do on his own—but right now, he needs us.

We are asking our friends, family, and community to come together to support Matt and his family as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to help them make it through 2025—covering medical expenses, insurance, and the basic necessities of life while Matt continues to fight for recovery.
